About Us

RightCrowd provide world-class, software products that add functional enhancements to existing physical access control systems and that converge the physical security silo into the Enterprise, through out-of-the-box integration into ERP systems, such as SAP. RightCrowd products enable corporations to automate many physical security and compliance-related business processes.

A corporation sets policies to meet regulatory and organizational issues. RightCrowd provides products to allow these policies to be both complied with, and to incorporate with real-time data, through integration with the physical security system. This ensures that the people in the organization are in compliance with the processes that support the over-arching corporate policies.

RightCrowd formed in 2004 to develop a software suite to enhance physical security access control systems and to provide integration of these systems into the business processes relating to physical security within organizations. RightCrowd completed the first phase of development in late 2005 and deployed the solution at several key military installations. RightCrowd products have been sold through an OEM relationship with one of Asia’s leading security manufacturers and are now deployed throughout Australia, Asia and Africa

In February 2006, RightCrowd was acquired by Virsa Systems, Inc. Virsa Systems were the world’s leading software startup in the rapidly growing Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance market and were backed by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers Venture Partners. RightCrowd was acquired to enable Virsa Systems, Inc to extend their logical compliance software suite to incorporate physical security compliance. Two months after Virsa Systems acquisition of RightCrowd, SAP (www.sap.com) acquired Virsa Systems, including RightCrowd. This was a major strategic acquisition for SAP which formed the foundation of SAP’s $1b investment in the creation of SAP’s Governance, Risk and Compliance division.

For 18 months, the RightCrowd team drove SAP’s global physical security convergence strategy and travelled the world meeting with SAP customers and personnel validating the emerging physical security convergence market.

In mid 2007, RightCrowd, was spun-out of SAP with its software intellectual property, into the SAP partner ecosystem as an independent software vendor, to enable the commercialization of RightCrowd’s physical security convergence software products. As at the start of 2008, these products were deployed in 10 vertical markets across 5 countries. RightCrowd now offers significant products and world-class expertise in the physical security convergence arena and continues to work closely with SAP.
