Over the next few blog posts we’ll set out to answer that question and explain the additional use cases of our patented technology.
FIRST THINGS FIRST
Our social distancing and contact tracing solution is based on an established platform that turns your existing building access card into a security and contact tracing wearable. We call it RightCrowd Presence Control and it delivers continuous visual validation that everyone in an area is authorized to be there.
HOW IT WORKS
Sliding your existing building access badge into a RightCrowd Digital Badgeholder, activates its internal NFC reader and the credentials contained on the badge activate the device. The building access card and Badgeholder merge physically and link logically through backend software. This combined credential now speaks NFC and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). It allows for access and presence control.
Our RightCrowd Digital Badgeholders are neutral and do not hold any personal information. The wearers privacy can be protected with configurable settings, that can meet company policy and regulatory requirements.
IMPROVE SECURITY WITHOUT ADDING DOORS AND WALLS
Cryptographic keys control the unpredictable sequence of colors on the Badgeholder, so it can’t be fudged. Every RightCrowd Digital Badgeholder in an area is linked. Every person authorised to be there will flash the same color on their Badgeholder. People who aren’t authorized, will flash red or a custom color.
Security is paramount and communications between the RightCrowd Digital Badgeholders and the RightCrowd backend infrastructure are encrypted in both directions. RightCrowd’s Presence Control platform can run as a cloud instance or reside in your data center as an on-premises deployment.
